Description

Do you want to be fluent in Scotland’s oldest indigenous language, be part of the regeneration of the Gaelic language and enhance your career prospects in Education; Community Projects; Media; Working with Local Authorities; Administration; Tourism? This course is aimed at beginners but may be of interest to Gaelic speakers who wish to improve their level of literacy in Gaelic. The main focus of the course is on speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Course Content

You will be able to develop your Gaelic language and communication skills in: - Reading & Writing - Listening & Speaking - Literature at the following levels: SCQF Level 3; SCQF Level 4; SCQF Level 5; SCQF Level 6 (Higher)

Duration

Full Time. 1 Academic Year. August – June. Applicants wishing to study on a part-time basis will be considered and should provide information on this in their personal statement and at interview

Progression

Enhanced employment opportunities. On completion of all units you may be able to progress to the part-time Gaelic (Fluent Speakers) Higher course at Glasgow Kelvin College.
